How should I use Balance Activ bv pessaries?
Balance Activ BV Pessaries are easy to use and will effectively treat your symptoms of BV. In order to administer your treatment, please follow these instructions:
It is best advised to insert your pessaries at bedtime when you are able to lie down in a comfortable position. Administering them whilst lying down and then staying in this position for some time will allow them to stay in place and can therefore keep the maximum amount of the active ingredient where it is required to treat the problem. You will also prevent some leakage by being in this position, although you may prefer to wear a panty liner too.
- Wash and dry your hands thoroughly.
- Remove a single pessary from the packet – this is your recommended single dose, and the pessary should never be cut or divided in any way.
- Sit or lie down with your knees bent and your legs spread apart
- Gently insert the pessary as far into the vagina as is possible and comfortable using your fingers
- Thoroughly wash your hands again

Do not use Balance Activ BV Pessaries if you are allergic to any of the ingredients which are:
- Lactic Acid
- Glycogen
- Polyethylene Glycol
- Sodium Hydroxide
Do not use if you are trying to conceive, as the pessaries may create an environment which makes it more difficult for sperm to travel through the vagina and into the uterus.
Do not use as a form of contraception – it does not contain any form of spermicide.
Always use as directed.
Avoid contact with the eyes. If contact occurs, flush out with plenty of water immediately.
