Overview
Senna tablets are a herbal medication used to relieve occasional constipation. Senna have calcium sennosides ingredients that are derived from the Senna plant and is a stimulant laxative. These tablets stimulate the natural processes of the human body and assist to expel food through the digestive tract and give an effective relief from constipation in 8-12 hours.
Senna should be taken before going to bed so that the effect can begin during the night.
Directions

Adults and the elderly: Take 1-2 tablets with a glass of water before going to bed.

Not recommended for children and adolescents below the age of 18 years.

Start with the lowest dose that you can give and increase the dose if the symptoms do not improve.

When regularity is achieved, the dosage should be gradually reduced and stopped.

Its usage for more than one week is not advisable. If constipation persists for more than three days after the dosage has been increased, immediately consult a doctor or a pharmacist.
Cautions

Do not use these tablets more than a week.

Drink a lot of water when using Senna tablets.

A doctor should be consulted if your bowel movements do not start or if the symptoms worsen after three days of using this medicine.

It is not recommended in patients with allergies to any of the ingredients or those with chronic abdominal pain, unexplained gastrointestinal disorders, nausea, vomiting, intestinal obstruction, recent surgery involving the colon or rectum, ileostomy or colostomy, gastrointestinal bleeding or those who take daily laxatives.

Pregnant or planning to get pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before using this medication.

Do not put in places easily accessible by children.
Possible side effects:

Stomach ache, abdominal ache, diarrhoea and spasms.

Skin reactions such as rash, hives or itching around the anus as a result of an allergic reaction.
Other side effects include: Diarrhoea, dehydration, malabsorption, cardiac and renal diseases, and passage of red or yellow stool and urine.
If any side effects are observed or the medicine has some impact on the body, then it is better to stop taking the medicine and consult a doctor or a pharmacist.
