Treatment Information
Overview
Cystocalm Sachets are formulated for women who have cystitis (a urinary tract infection (UTI) disease that leads to inflammation of the bladder) issues. Cystocalm sachets give lasting relief for the symptoms associated with cystitis, including pain, discomfort, or a burning sensation when passing urine.
Cystocalm reduces the acidity of urine and gives you relief from the acidic urine sensation. It is also used before general anesthesia to prevent stomach acid aspiration, which may happen during a surgical operation or in pregnant women during childbirth.
Signs and symptoms of cystitis include:
-
Burning sensation in the urinary system or pain during urine.
-
Frequent urge to urinate.
-
Urine that may be colored, foul smelling or even a little murky.
- And lower stomach pain.
Cystitis is normally a condition in which bacteria gets into the urinary tract through the urethra and starts replicating itself. This disease is limited to women because men have a longer urethra, and through a longer urethra, bacteria can be more easily flushed out. Still in case: If a man experiences a cystitis problem, he must consult a doctor and avoid self medication.
There are some other reasons that cause cystitis for which Cystocalm may not be suitable, for example;
-
Interstitial cystitis: it is a painful bladder syndrome. Its symptoms remain uncertain.
-
Chemical cystitis: some people are sensitive to chemicals in various medicines that cause an allergic reaction in the bladder. As a result, inflammation occurs.
-
Drug-induced cystitis: some specific medications, like chemotherapy drugs, can also result in inflammation of the bladder.
- Foreign-body cystitis: long-term use of a catheter can cause bacterial infections and tissue damage and, as a result, cause inflamation.
Therefore, it is necessary that, as a patient, you find the right treatment and not get misguided.
