Treatment Information
Overview
What is Lamisil Anti Fungal
Lamisil AT 1% Spray is an antifungal spray used to treat skin conditions caused by fungi such as athlete’s foot, ringworm, tinea versicolor, and jock itch. It contains the active ingredient terbinafine, which is classified as an antifungal medicine. It is also easy to apply without getting the product on the hands.
Lamisil AT 1% spray for athlete's foot
The typical symptoms of athlete’s foot are redness, itching, flaking, and burning skin, primarily in the space between the toes. It is common and can affect anyone. It is transmitted from person to another, even indirectly, for example, by using the same towels or sharing a shower.
Closed shoes provide a warm and moist environment in which these fungi thrive. If left untreated, this infection can also spread to the toenails, hands, and groin area. Athlete’s foot must be treated; it does not go away on its own.
Lamisil AT 1% Spray acts by killing these fungi and their spores, thus stopping the infection and its spread to other areas of the body. The symptoms of redness, itching, inflammation, flakiness and discomfort are eliminated when the infection goes.
Directions
How to use Lamisil AT 1% spray
Lamisil AT 1% Spray is applied to the affected area once a day for one week only for all type of fungal infections.
The area should be cleaned and dried thoroughly before application of the treatment. When using the spray for the first time, you need to pump it a few times before the product can come out evenly. Thereafter simply remove the cap from the spray bottle and spray from 5-10cm distance to the affected area.
The treated area may be covered with a fresh plaster or strip gauze, especially if shoes need to be worn or at night.
