How should I take Imodium syrup sf?

The Imodium Syrup SF comes with a single measuring cup to help you take exact amounts. Always set the measuring cup on a level and stable surface with its arrow pointing up. Shake the Imodium Syrup SF before using to allow all the ingredients to mix properly, and work fast when they get to your body system. 

When pouring the medication into your measuring cup, don’t cross the marked 5 ml line to ensure you take the correct dose. Always read the instructions that come with this medication. Doing that allows you to understand how to use it better, and even how it works, thus helping you treat the condition appropriately.

What dose should I choose?

Imodium Syrup SF is suitable for adults and children over 12 years. This medication is mostly administered every time you feel some loose bowel movement, but you can also take it using a specific schedule to improve the efficacy. The dosage is mainly determined by age, weight and your condition’s severity. 

For acute diarrhoea, use four 5 ml portions at once for the first dose. From there, take two 5 ml doses every time you have diarrhoea until it’s completely cured. You should not take more than 16 doses in a day to avoid experiencing side effects. If you have chronic diarrhoea, then take 4-8 5 ml doses daily, and not more than 16. If you miss a dose, don’t administer a double dose to make up for the lost one. Doing so might cause some side effects, or even worsen your condition.
