Optrex Allergy is a medication which treats the effects of an allergy in the eye. It relieves red, itchy and watery eyes as well as puffy eyelids caused by allergy. Its active substance is sodium cromoglicate. This substance belongs to anti-allergy drugs. It works by reducing the amount of natural chemicals in your body which cause allergies.

-
Tilt your head back and look upwards.
-
Gently pull your lower eyelid down with a finger.
-
Hold the bottle in your other hand in an upside down position.

-
Let go of the eyelid and close the eye.
-
Wipe off any excess medicine with a tissue.
-
Open your eye.
-
Repeat the same procedure for the other eye if required.
Use 1–2 drops of this medicine per eye up to 4 times daily. Keep using this medicine for up to 3 months as long as you are exposed to the allergen (the substance which triggers your allergy).
