Overview
Gaviscon Advance is an effective formula that provides relief from heartburn (acid reflux) and indigestion. It creates a thick protective barrier on top of the stomach content to prevent acid from coming up into your oesophagus (food pipe), making it best after meal and before going to bed. The sweet aniseed flavour makes it pleasant to consume.

Directions

This medication is for oral use only.

Suitable for adults and children above 12 years.

Take 5-10ml after meals and at bedtime, or as directed by your doctor or physician.

Gaviscon is safe for pregnant and breastfeeding women, however, a doctor should always be consulted before use.

Shake well before use.

Each standard dose (10ml) is high in sodium, potassium and calcium, which is why it is advised to consult your doctor or physician before taking Gaviscon Advance if you are diet restricted or are on a low-sodium diet.

This medication may cause allergic reactions as it contains methyl and propyl parahydroxybenzoates. Please note that allergic reactions such as skin rashes and breathing difficulty have been reported in the past.

Double dose is not necessary if you forget a dose.

Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any allergic reactions, symptoms or side effect, severe or mild.

Although excessive consumption of Gaviscon Advance is not likely to cause any harm, however, it may leave you feeling bloated. It is advised to consult your doctor or physician if symptoms do not go away.
