Treatment Information
Overview
Aspirin tablets contain a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug as their active ingredient, which helps to alleviate a wide range of inflammation symptoms. These tablets give relief from headaches, toothaches, period pain, rheumatic pain, sciatica, and migraines. Aspirin also works for fever, flu, colds, and sore throats.
Aspirin’s active ingredient blocks an enzyme called cyclo-oxygenase. This enzyme forms pain-causing and inflammation-causing substances. By blocking this enzyme, aspirin alleviates inflammation and pain.
