How does Mysimba work?

Mysimba features a combination of two active ingredients, namely bupropion hydrochloride and naltrexone hydrochloride. Bupropion helps you feel less hungry by making you satisfied with less food. Naltrexone in the Mysimba weight loss tablets, helps curb food cravings reducing your desire to eat.

The two ingredients of Mysimba help patients curb their appetite and control the size of the food portions. Using Mysimba tablets also boosts energy, so they stay active and follow a healthy and controlled diet to lessen their body weight.

Directions

Mysimba Dosage instructions

When starting any new medication, you should always seek the advice of your doctor. When you take Mysimba, your dose will be gradually increased over a four-week period until you reach the maintenance dose. To get the most out of Mysimba, it's important to carefully follow the dosage instructions:

  • Week 1: Take ONE tablet in the morning for 7 days
  • Week 2: Take ONE tablet in the morning and ONE tablet in the evening for 7 days
  • Week 3: Take TWO tablets in the morning and ONE in the evening for 7 days
  • Week 4: Take TWO tablets in the morning and TWO tablets in the evening for 7 days

You should never exceed the maximum dose of 4 tablets (2 in the morning and 2 in the evening) in a day. If you haven't lost at least 5% of your body weight after 16 weeks of treatment, you should consider whether to continue with Mysimba.

You should swallow your tablet with a full glass of water, with or immediately after a meal. Do not break, crush, or split the tablets.
