Treatment Information
Overview
Difflam Spray is a medicine that treats painful and sore conditions of the mouth or throat. It is effective against mouth ulcers, sore gums, sore tongue, sore throat, teething, and pain associated with dental work.
Its active ingredient is benzydamine hydrochloride which belongs to a class of medications called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or NSAIDs. It reduces inflammation (swelling) and provides pain relief.
Directions
Follow these steps to use Difflam spray effectively:
-
Hold the bottle vertically.
-
Bring its spray tube to a horizontal position.
-
You must prime the spray before using it for the first time. Here is how to prime it:
-
Point the spray tube away from you.
-
Press the green plunger.
-
A fine spray should emerge from the spray tube's end. You can now use the spray.
-
Press down on the green plunger once more while aiming the spray tube at the area of your mouth or throat that hurts. A single puff is released by one press.
-
Once the required amount of puffs has been sprayed, use a tissue to clean the spray tube's end.
-
Reposition the spray tube as before.
