Treatment Information
Overview
Anusol suppositories have a unique 3-way action which treats piles by shrinking piles, relieving discomfort and sooth itching. This medicine is specially used to treat internal piles.
Its five active ingredients can help relieve the symptoms of piles. It includes hydrocortisone acetate, a steroid that reduces inflammation; zinc oxide to soothe and protect, bismuth salts and benzyl benzoate that act as mild antiseptics; and lastly, balsum Peru that calms and heals.
Haemorrhoids (piles) usually occur during pregnancy, after constipation or simply because they run in your family. Signs of haemorrhoids include an itchy anal area and rectal bleeding after bowel movements which are generally bright red. This rectal bleeding is due to the damaged blood vessels surrounding your anal. While bright red blood is often associated with haemorrhoids.
Piles treatment depends on the type you have, as it can be external or internal. It is important you speak with your doctor if you encounter these symptoms in yourself. Anusol suppositories can help treat internal haemorrhoids only.
