Overview
Perinal Cutaneous Spray is a medication which treats the discomfort in the bottom (anus) caused by haemorrhoids (piles). It alleviates the pain and itchiness that occurs after going to the toilet. It comes in spray form, which allows you to use it easily.
This medicine contains two active ingredients; hydrocortisone and lidocaine. These ingredients reduce the inflammation and itchiness and also numb the area to provide relief from pain.
Directions
You can easily spray Perinal Cutaneous Spray on and around your anus. Follow these instructions to use it effectively:

Crouch down normally and spread your buttocks.

Prime the spray if necessary by pressing it once or twice.

Bring the spray near the affected area.

Spray on the affected area by pressing it once.

Replace the cap properly.

Wash your hands.
Use this medicine up to 3 times a day if necessary. You can continue to use it for no more than 7 days.

Do not spray inside the anus.

Do not use it if you have an open wound or infection near the site of application.

Do not spray in the nose, eyes or mouth.

Do not spray it anywhere other than on or around the anus.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using it for children under the age of 14.

Talk to your doctor if your condition does not improve after a few days of use.

Do not use it if:

You are allergic to any of its ingredients.

You are experiencing persistent pain and bleeding.

Your stomach is bloated.
- You are losing weight unexpectedly.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding
Perinal Cutaneous Spray is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions.
Possible side effects
It can cause a tingling sensation on the applied area, which is usually not serious and goes away shortly. Some individuals may experience a bad reaction to this medication, which can be serious.
It can cause the following side effects if used excessively for more than 7 days, particularly in children:

Skin thinning at the applied area
- Adrenal suppression (hormonal imbalance)
Discontinue use and contact your doctor or pharmacist if you experience persistent and severe side effects.
Seek immediate medical attention if you have an allergic reaction. The symptoms of an allergic reaction are swelling of the face and neck, and difficulty breathing.

Lidocaine hydrochloride (1.0% w/w): Numbs the area to stop pain.
Other ingredients
Macrogol cetostearyl ether (cetomacrogol 1000), citric acid monohydrate, sodium citrate, propyl gallate, phenoxyethanol and purified water.
