Directions
How to use Xyloproct ointment
Xyloproct ointment should be used as directed by your doctor, typically several times a day. Do not use it for more than 3 weeks unless advised by a healthcare professional, as prolonged use may cause side effects.
For external haemorrhoid:
- Wash your hands before and after applying the ointment.
- Gently wash and dry the anal area before application.
- Take a small amount of ointment on your fingertip and gently apply it to the affected area.
For internal haemorrhoid:
- Wash your hands.
- Screw the nozzle provided onto the tube.
- Insert the nozzle into the back passage and squeeze gently.
- Keep it in place for 1 to 2 minutes to allow absorption.
- Remove the applicator and wash it thoroughly after each use.
- Wash your hands.
If you put too much ointment talk to your doctor as soon as possible.
